Odisha: Retired Mines Manager Sentenced to 2 Yrs Imprisonment in DA Case 

Bhubaneswar: A retired mines manager has been sentenced to two years imprisonment following his conviction in a disproportionate assets case.

Rabinarayan Behura, Ex-Manager (Retired), Kalarahangi Mines, OMC Ltd., Sukinda in Jajpur district, who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in a case U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) of PC Act, 1988 for possession of disproportionate assets, was convicted by Special Judge, Special Court, Cuttack.

Behura has been sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years and to pay fine of Rs.50,000 and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for 6 months more for the offence U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) of PC Act, 1988.

Odisha Vigilance said that it will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Behura following his conviction.
