Odisha SCRB Gets NCRB Trophy for Innovative IT Project

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB) has received the National Crime Records Bureau’s (NCRB) running trophy for empowering police with information technology at All India Police Duty Meet (AIPDM)-2023 in Bhopal on Friday.

The SCRB of Odisha Police won the prestigious award for its Special Report (SR) module Management System.

SCRB Director Vinaytosh Mishra received the award from Mangubhai C Patel, Governor of Madhya Pradesh.

SR Module is a comprehensive and integrated application platform for SR case supervision on a real time basis in an online mode, which will also help in the efficient investigation, prevention, and prediction of crime through efficient utilization of available data in the police system.

It provides enhanced tools for investigation & crime prevention, sharing of data on a real-time basis, improved service delivery to the public/citizen, increase operational efficiency, improving e-policing management of serious crime for citizens’ welfare.

The AIPDM is an annual event organised by the Indian police forces to promote and improve the physical fitness and professional skills of its personnel. The event comprises various competitions including computer awareness, innovative IT projects, development of application and IT modules, physical training, weapon handling and tactical exercises.
