Odisha: Seven ODRAF Teams Deployed for Prevention of Forest Fire in Vulnerable Areas

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has decided to deploy seven Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) teams in vulnerable forest divisions for prevention of forest fire.

The ODRAF teams will be deployed in the forest divisors of Bhanjanagar, Boudh, Rayagada, Rourkela, Balangir, Kalinganagar and Chatrapur for forest fire response duty in order to prevent loss of life and properties owing to forest fire.

The step has been taken following the request of the PCCF & HoFF, informed the office of Special Relief Commissioner (SRC).

The ODRA teams have been directed to carry all equipment required for forest fire response along with the PPE kit such as gum boot, helmet and gloves, the SRC said.
