Konark: As Odisha is gearing up to host the month-long Marine Drive Eco Retreat festival from December 14, a stakeholder meeting was held here today to review the preparedness for the mega tourism event.
State Tourism Secretary Vishal Dev and Puri Collector Balwant Singh attended the meeting.
The officials discussed various issues with the stakeholders to make the coastal festival successful, sources said.
The month-long festival will be organised near the beach town of Konark on the Puri-Konark marine drive from December 14, 2019 to January 14, 2020 with an aim to attract domestic and international tourists to Puri and Konark.
As per reports, the mega festival will offer all amenities including food, 3D mapping, cultural programmes, adventure and water sports to tourists and there will be the luxury tents near the beach to accommodate them.
Earlier this month, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reviewed the preparedness of the festival at a high-level meeting at the Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.
He directed various departments to make the festival an international standard event.
