Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) has occupied the top most position in the Transparency Index Report released by the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE).
The OSPCB has been adjudged number one in Public Disclosure in the country.
The report evaluated information shared by 29 state PCBs and 6 pollution control committees to public in the last five years.
With 67 per cent information and indicators available in the OSPCB’s public domain, it has has been the number one.
Disclosure of information in the public domain is one of the important functions of the State Pollution Control Boards to increase public participation and public awareness.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated the OSPCB for the feat.
