Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has an ambitious aim to make the state child labour free by the year 2025.
Odisha Minister for Labour & Employees’ State Insurance Srikanta Sahu has said in the state Assembly today. Replying to a question by Member of the Assembly Prafulla Samal, Srikanta Sahu said that the State Government is implementing a State Action Plan for Elimination of Child Labour in coordination with other departments of the government to totally eradicate child labour from the state. He said that, in the last five years, as many as 420 children were rescued in the state.
