Bhubaneswar: Odisha will be hosting the 14th National Wheelchair Fencing Championship 2021/22.
The championship will be held from February 25 to 27 at East Coast Railway Indoor Stadium, Bhubaneswar.
After successfully organizing the 4th National Badminton Championship here, the Para Sports Association of Odisha (PSAO) is all set to organise this esteemed championship.
More than 250 players from different states are expected to participate in the tournament.
Amongst them Asian Games Medalist S.Noorudin, international medalist Suresh Joseph from Chennai, Para Asiads like V.Ramesh Rao, Rakhal Kumar Sethy from Odisha, Venkatesh Babu, K.Thyagarajan from Karnataka, Devendra Kumar from Haryana, International players like Malti Panaure, Pujaswini Nayak, Debamrut Sahoo from Odisha, Rekha from Haryana are ready to fascinate sports lovers by exhibiting their exciting fencing skills.
The PSAO is organising this event with a noble cause to empower and encourage the skills of para-sports players from the sports capital of India, Bhubaneswar supported by Dept. of Sports & Youth Affairs, Govt of Odisha, under the aegis of Paralympic Committee of India (PCI), and Wheelchair Fencing & Amputee Sports of India.
