Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government will launch a Mushroom Mission to make the State self-sufficient in production of button mushroom and net exporter of paddy-straw and oyster mushrooms involving women SHGs/FPOs.
This has been informed by Arabinda K Padhee, Principal Secretary of Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment.
“The State Govt is going to launch a Mushroom Mission to make Odisha self-sufficient in production of button mushroom and net exporter of paddy-straw and oyster mushrooms involving women SHGs/FPOs through area expansion and promotion of value added products in next 5 years”, Padhee tweeted.
