Bhubaneswar: Two government functionaries have been convicted in a day on Thursday in bribery cases in Odisha.
The convicted government functionaries are Jashobanty Behera, Ex-CDPO (Rtd), Kantamal, Boudh and Prana Krushna Naik, Ex-ASI of Police (Retd), Nemalo Police Station, Cuttack.
Behera, who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in BPR Vig PS Case No.06/2017 for taking bribe, was convicted to 4 years jail and fine of Rs.10,000.
She has been sent to jail custody.
Prana Krushna Naik, who was charge sheeted by OdishaVigilance in Cuttack Vigilance PS Case No.19/2015 for taking bribe, was convicted to 2 years and fine.
