Odisha: Two More Arrested in Mamita Meher Murder Case

Bhubaneswar: Two more persons were arrested on Thursday in connection with the murder of lady teacher Mamita Meher.

The police arrested Principal Ranjit Sahu and lecturer Kruti Chandan of Mahaling Plus 2 College.

They were arrested for allegedly influencing key witnesses in the case. The duo was forwarded to the court, the police informed.

Mamita Meher, a resident of Turekela block in Bolangir district, was serving as a teacher at an English medium school in Mahaling of Kalahandi district.

She went missing on October 8, 2021, and the police had recovered her decomposed body on October 19 from an under-construction stadium at Mahaling.

Gobinda Sahu, a prime accused in this case, was arrested in October last year.
