Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials have apprehended Banamali Parida, Addl. Tahasildar, Gania Tahasil, Nayagarh, while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. 13,000 from a complainant for release of his seized sand laden Truck. Parida had had demanded Rs.13,000 bribe from the complainant and had collected first installment of Rs.10,000 on 24.7.2023. Today, he was nabbed by the team of Odisha Vigilance while taking the balance bribe amount. The bribe money has been recovered from Parida and seized.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case No.19/2023 U/s 7PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Parida, Addl. Tahasildar. Detailed report awaited.
