Odisha Vigilance Apprehends Hindol SDPO While Taking Bribe

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance Department sleuths have apprehended Malaya Kishore Nayak, OPS, SDPO, Hindol while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.30,000 from a complainant.

The bribe was being taken to facilitate stone quarrying and transportation. The entire bribe money has been recovered from Malay Kumar Nayak and seized.

Following the trap, simultaneous searches are being conducted on properties of the SDPO at 6 places in BBSR, Puri, Angul, Dhenkanal and Sambalpur district.

The Cuttack Vigilance Department has registered case No 34 Dt.31.05.22 U/S 7 PC Amendment Act.2018. Investigation is in progress against.
