Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance Department officials have apprehended Sanyasi Nayak, the Panchayat Executive Officer of Kaniguma Panchayat of Thuamula Rampur Block while taking bribe.
The PEO was taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a Complainant to facilitate the labour payment under MGNREGA Scheme. In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S Case No. 10/2024 U/s 7 P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress.
