Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday arrested a junior electrical engineer in Rayagada district for allegedly taking bribe from a person.
The junior engineer has been identified as Jitendra Pattnaik of Padmapur Section, Rayagada district.
Pattnaik was apprehended by the vigilance sleuths while accepting bribe of Rs.10,000 from a complainant in order to restore disrupted electric supply to his Lift Irrigation point.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance PS Case has been registered against the engineer and the investigation in the matter is in progress, the vigilance informed.
