Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Thursday raided five illegal sawmills operating in Keonjhar district and seized valuable timber worth around Rs 5 lakh.
The Forest Wing of the Vigilance conducted the raid on running of five illegal sawmills without valid license in Sainkul cluster within Ramchandrapur Police limits in the district.
During the raid, 326 cft of valuable timber worth approx Rs.5 lakhs has been seized, the Vigilance said while adding that the further investigation is underway.
