Odisha Vigilance Unearths 3 Multi Storeyed Buildings, Rs 6.50 Lakh Cash during Raids on Chhatrapur BEO’s Properties

Berhampur: Odisha Vigilance on Saturday unearthed three multi storeyed buildings, one four wheeler, cash worth Rs 6.50 lakhs and other properties during the raids on six places linked with Sita Ram Patro, Block Education Officer (BEO), Chhatrapur in Ganjam district due the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets (DA).

The house searches are being conducted by the Vigilance sleuths led by 5 DSPs, 4 Inspectors, 5 SI/AsIs, and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur.

During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Patro and his family members;

1. One double storeyed residential building of area approx.3500 Sqft at Ramakrushna Nagar, 7th Lane, near Khodasingh, Berhampur.

2. One double storeyed building with area approx. 1600 Sqft. Of Sri Patro at Kolisahi, Polasara, Ganjam.

3. Another building at Kolisahi, Polasara, Ganjam. The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.

4. *Cash Rs.6.50 Lakhs*.

5. Bank, Insurance & Postal deposits and other investments etc. are being ascertained.

6. 1 four wheeler & 2 two wheelers.

Searches are still continuing.
