Odisha Vigilance Unearths Huge Assets during House Searches of Deputy Director of Mines

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Monday unearthed huge assets during the raids on properties of Dharanidhar Nayak, Deputy Director of Mines(DDM), Talcher in Angul district.

During the searches against the DDM, the Vigilance sleuths unearthed assets including 2 Multi Storeyed buildings, one 3-BHK flat approx Rs.1.30 crore & 1 duplex at Bhubaneswar, two market complexes with 19 shops, 9 plots, cash Rs.9.83 lakhs and 1 Car, etc.

Based on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by the DDM, the simultaneous house searches were being conducted by Vigilance sleuths led by 10 DSPs, 16 Inspectors, 7 SI/ASIs, and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Angul at the 8 places in Bhubaneswar, and Keonjhar and Angul districts linked with the DDM.
