Bhubaneswar: Odisha registered 112 coronavirus positive cases in last 24 hours with one more person succumbing to the virus while undergoing treatment, taking the total number of casualties so far to 10, said Health and Family Welfare Department.
“Regret to report the death of a COVID positive 55-year-old male of Ganjam while under treatment in hospital. Cause of death was acute respiratory distress syndrome,” the H & FW Department said.
According to Health and Family Welfare Department of the 112 new cases, five are local contacts while remaining 107 have been reported from different quarantine centres.
While Puri has reported highest 15 cases. Khordha and Mayurbhanj saw surge of 8 and 7 cases respectively in last 24 hours.
