Cuttack: The Orissa High Court has issued a notice to BJP MLA from Jharsuguda constituency Tankadhar Tripathy on the charges of concealing information about criminal cases pending against him.
The High Court has asked the BJP MLA to appear before it on September 23 in the next hearing, as per the reports.
Notably, former BJD MLA Dipali Das has moved the High Court against Tankadhar Tripathy claiming that the BJP leader suppressed information about criminal cases pending against him.
In her petition, Dipali has demanded declaration of Tripathy’s election as null and void on the ground that he had concealed information while filing his nomination papers. .
