Chatrapur: A liquid medical oxygen plant will come up at the Chatrapur Sub-Divisional Hospital to supply oxygen straight to the patients.
The Ganjam district administration has received a proposal from the Health Department regarding insyallation of an oxygen plant at the SDH Chatrapur, informed district Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange after visiting the hospital for site selection.
The proposed plant will produce about 20 kilo liters of liquid oxygen which will be used in the hospital.
The plant will be of great help for the patients, especially the critical patients admitted to the SDH once it will be established and end the hassle of carrying oxygen cylinders near the patients.
The patients will get oxygen directly to their bedside through pipes connected to the plant.
The people of Chatrapur have expressed their joy over the development.
The SDH is visited by hundreds of patients from Chatrapur block and and nearby aareas.
The district administration will send a detailed report to the State Government about the proposed plant after site selection.
