Konark: V K Pandian, Secretary 5T Initiatives, today made an early morning surprise visit to the Sun Temple in Konark. During his visit to the World Heritage site, Pandian reviewed the various developmental issues of the centuries old temple.
Works Secretary Dr Krishan Kumar, Puri Collector Balwant Singh and other officials were also present on the occasion. They also went to the Chandrabhaga Beach as part of the visit and reviewed the various amenities available for tourists.
The visit is said to be a part of the transformation process that the government has taken up in various heritage cities including Puri and Bhubaneswar. After the Lord JagannathTemple and Lingaraj Temple transformation, the government is contemplating developing the various pilrim and tourist amenities of the Konark Temple.
