Partial Closure of Biju Patnaik International Airport Deferred By Month

Bhubaneswar: The partial closure of Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) due to re-carpeting work has been postponed by a month.

The runway re-carpeting work at the Odisha’s largest airport, which was supposed to start from November 1, will now be carried out from December 1, informed BPIA Director Suresh Hota.

The airport will be partially closed from 10:30 PM to 5:30 AM daily since December, he added.

With the decision, the flight services will operate at usual till November 30 at the airport.

The last re-carpeting work of the airport was done in 2007.
