Bhubaneswar: The people of Odisha will now be able to avail world class treatment near their home, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here on Wednesday.
Expressing his happiness over the signing of MoU between Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai and Odisha Health & Family Welfare Department at Convention Centre in Lok Seva Bhawan for establishment of a state-of-the-art Cancer Hospital at NISER campus at Jatni near Bhubaneswar, the Chief Minister said that it will be immensely helpful not only to the people of Odisha but also to the people of entire Eastern India.
The Chief Minister thanked the Prime Minister, Department of Atomic energy and Tata memorial centre for this noble gesture and said that the State Government will help set up a cyclotron machine for treatment.
He further said that the State Government will provide all necessary support for this venture including 40 Acres of additional land near NISER for expansion of Cancer Care Hospital.
