People of Rayagada Felicitate Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for Mega Industrial Project

Bhubaneswar: People of Rayagada district felicitated Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here today for his government’s approval to a mega industrial project in the district.

Recently, the Odisha Government had approved a new greenfield alumina refinery unit, proposed by Aditya Birla Group-owned Hindalco Industries entailing an investment of Rs 8,000 crore in Rayagada district.

The proposed alumina refinery unit will come up at Kansariguda near Rayagada.

Over hundreds of people from different walks of life met the Chief Minister at his residence today and expressed their gratitude to him for the project, which is expected to spawn employment for 4,250 people in the district.

Those who felicitated the CM include social workers, senior citizens, public representatives and common citizens.

The High Level Clearance Authority (HLCA), the apex body to clear investment projects in Odisha, approved the project.
