PM Modi Speaks with CM Naveen Patnaik over COVID-19 Situation in Odisha

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today spoke to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik over the current COVID-19 situation in the State.

Modi also spoke with the Chief Ministers of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand, LGs of Puducherry and J&K.

Earlier today, the Odisha Chief Minister wrote to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman seeking exemption of GST on purchase vaccines for Covid-19 by the States.

Naveen also sought financial assistance to the States from cess and surcharges collected by the Centre.
