Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today donated his one year’s salary to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for relief and restoration work in the State in the aftermath of devastating cyclone Fani.
The Chief Minister’s decision came just hours after he discussed about the cyclone situation of the State with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a review meeting here.
Notably, the Odisha CM has received wider appreciation for his government’s successful handling the natural disaster.
The Prime Minister also highly appreciated Naveen’s efforts in disaster management after conducting an aerial survey in the affected-areas.
Naveen, who had earlier appealed for donations to rebuild the Fani-ravaged Odisha, has also demanded a relief package of Rs 17,000 crore from the Centre.
