Pratibha Maharathy Brings Curtains Down On Speculations, Says I Am the Happiest One For Rudra’s Candidature

Bhubaneswar: Bringing all the speculations to an end, Pratibha Maharathy, wife of late Pradeep Maharathy and mother of Rudra Maharathy has said that she fully supports the candidature of Rudra for Pipili By-polls. This comes in the backdrop of media speculations that she was not happy with the Biju Janata Dal’s decision and she herself wanted the ticket. Some media and vested interests tried to create confusion in the people by planting stories that she was also in the race and there was a rift in the family.

In a statement issued yesterday, Pratibha has said that she extends full support to Rudra and thanked the Chief Minister for nominating him. She said, “I am thankful to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for giving importance to our family. There is nothing more happier news for me. I am the happiest one when my son is nominated as the candidate for Pipili. All my blessings are with my son, and I hope with the blessings of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and the people of Odisha Rudra will be victorious.”
