President Ram Nath Kovind Pays Obeisance at Jagannath Temple

Puri: President Ram Nath Kovind, who is on a two-day visit to Odisha, paid his obeisance to Lord Jagannath here on Saturday.

The President accompanied by his wife Savita Kovind visited the Srimandir.
Odisha Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal, SJTA Chief Administrator Dr. Krishan Kumar, other officials and servitors were present during the President’s visit to the shrine.

Earlier this afternoon, a special plane carrying the President landed at the Biju Patnaik International Airport, where Governor Ganeshi Lal and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, received him.

On Sunday, the President will inaugurate the three-year celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Srimad Bhakti Sidhant Saraswati Goswami Prabhupada, the founder of Goudiya Mission. He will also visit Sri Chaitanya Gaudiya Mutt at.

Tight security has been put in place in the Puri town for the visit. Around 40 platoons of police force have been deployed as part of the security arrangement in the pilgrim town.

This is the President’s third visit to Puri. Last time, the President and the first lady had visited the pilgrim town in March 2021.
