President’s Address Very Disappointing: BJD

New Delhi: BJD MP Sasmit Patra on Friday said that the President Droupadi Murmu’s address to both Houses of Parliament was very disappointing.

The BJD MP said that the President address is a feeble attempt to highlight the government’s achievements without addressing pressing national concerns.

“It is just a feeble attempt to go on about the government’s achievements. The real issues of the country and those plaguing states like Odisha, such as our demand for special category status, providing more support to states regarding the federal structure, all of that was missing”, Patra told the national news agency ‘ANI’.

President Murmu addressed the joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, marking the beginning of the Budget Session of the Parliament.

The Budget Session will be held from January 31 to April 4 in two phases. The Union Budget will be presented on February 1.
