New Delhi: The price of non-subsidized petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders has now been sharply by the state-run oil marketing companies across metro cities.
In Delhi, price of a 14.2 kg non-subsidized Indane gas cylinder rose to Rs 858.50 (increased by Rs 144.50), in Kolkata at Rs 896 (hiked by Rs 149), in Mumbai at Rs 829.50 (increased by Rs 145) and in Chennai at Rs 881 (up Rs 147), according to Indian Oil, which sells 30 lakh LPG cylinders every day in India.
This is the sixth straight monthly hike in cooking gas rates since September 2019.
The LPG price was last hiked on January 1 this year.
