Chatrapur: A day after the Odisha Government deployed additional doctors and senior officials for the effective management of COVID-19 pandemic in Ganjam district, Principal Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Department and Nodal administrative officer for Ganjam, G Mathivathanan today visited the district to take stock of the situation.
At a high level meeting held at the DRDA office here, Mathivathanan discussed the COVID-19 management strategies with the senior officials of the district administration.
Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange, PD DRDA Siddharth Shankar Swain, BeMC Commissioner Chakravarti Singh Rathore, Sub-Collector, Brahmapur Shinde Dattatraya Bhausaheb and Ganjam SP Brijesh Kumar Rai among others who attended the meeting.
The State Government has deployed 130 doctors, 37 OAS (Odisha Administrative Services) and Odisha Revenue Service (ORS) officers in Ganjam District in view of a surge in COVID-19 cases in the district.
A total 100 numbers of Ayurvedic Medical Officers (AMOs)/Homoeopathic Medical Officers (HMOs) have been deployed at different places in the District for smooth management of COVID duty.
Similarly, 30 Medical Officers have been deployed to Districts Headquarters Hospital (DHH) Ganjam by Health and Family Welfare Department and concerned CDM and PHOs have been asked to deploy the above medical officers in Districts Headquarters Hospital State Government has also deployed 32 ORS (Group-B) officers and 5 Odisha Administrative Service, OAS-A (JB) officers to the Ganjam District to work under the District administration for management of COVID related work.
