Prof. Amiya Rath Appointed as New Vice Chancellor of BPUT

Bhubaneswar: Prof. Amiya Kumar Rath has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor (VC) of Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT).

Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal, who is also the Chancellor of Universities, appointed Prof Amiya Kumar Rath as the VC of BPUT for a period of five years.

“Governor , Odisha and Chancellor of Universities, Prof. Ganeshi Lal appointed Prof. Amiya Kumar Rath , Advisor ( ICT) ,NAAC, Bangalore as Vice Chancellor of Biju Patnaik University of Technology for a period of five years with effect from the date he assumes office as such or until further orders whichever is earlier,” according to an official notification.

Prof. Rath has 33 years of teaching experience. He has authored nine books and successfully guided 12 Ph.D and 17 PG scholars.

Currently, Prof. Rath serves as the Advisor of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), headquartered in Bangalore..
