Puri: Keeping in view the expected heavy rush of people to the holy city of Lord Jagannath, Puri Police has made elaborate arrangements for management of traffic and crowd during the New Years eve and New Year Day. The Police have also issued advisory on management of traffic to the Badadanda and other important places. The advisory will be applicable for 31st December and 1st January. Movement of various types of vehicles will be moderated and arrangements have been made for parking at various places. More than three lakh people are expected to arrive in Puri in these two days.

Speaking to media, Puri SP Dr. Kanwar Vishal Singh said that nearly 60 platoons of police forces are being deployed for crowd management. There will be minimum restrictions and maximum regulations for vehicles. Our priority is to provide a hassle free darshan to all the devotees.
