Puri: The Chaka Dera ritual for the world-famous annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannatha and His divine siblings was concluded at the pilgrim city of Puri.
After receiving the consent garland or “Agyanmala” of “Mahaprabhu”, two wheels or “Chaka” have been fixed to the “Akha” or axle in the presence of the Ratha nirmana sevaks, marking concluding the “Chaka Dera” ritual, informed the Shree Jagannatha Temple Administration (SJTA).
Taking to Twitter, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has posted mesmerizing images of this important ritual and sought blessings of Lord Jagannatha for the wellbeing of all.
