Bhubaneswar: Shankracharya Nischalanand Saraswati of Puri Govardhan Peeth has welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court of India with regard to staying of Ratha Yatra celebrations for this year.
He has said that, at this juncture the Supreme Court Order is a welcome step and we all should abide by this. For any alternate arrangements, the temple Managing Committee has to take a decision after discussions with the servitors.
The Law minister and the Chief Secretary should also discuss the issue with all. A decision should be taken later regarding the use of the Rathas.
