Puri: The Odisha Government today reviewed the progress of the under construction Sri Jagannath Medical College & Hospital work in Puri district.
Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Minister Naba Kishore Das and Steel & Mines and Works Minister Prafulla Mallick reviewed the progress of the project at the high level meeting here.
Puri Collector Balwant Singh and senior officials of the district administration were present at the meeting.
The work of proposed medical college and hospital is likely to be completed within two years, the meeting revealed.
The intake capacity of the medical college will be 100 UG students. The attached hospital will be 300 bedded one.
The land for project has already been identified and the district administration handed over the record of rights (Patta) to the Works Department, sources said.
The State Government has sanctioned Rs 365 crore for the project, of which Rs 250 crore will be spent for medical college and Rs 115 crore for hospital.
