Puri: As Snana Yatra of Lord Jagannath is going to be held with the participation of devotees after the gap of two years, the Puri Police has issued traffic advisory for the smooth traffic movement and public convenience.
As per the advisory, there will be no restriction of regular buses from Bhubaneswar/ Konark side to enter into regular Municipality Bus Stand. Buses coming from Bhubaneswar and other areas will be diverted accordingly.
Puri Town Shuttle Buses will be allowed up to Medical chhaka on Badadanda, the Puri Police said.
Two wheelers will avail parking on Badadanda from Grand Centre up to Market Chhaka on first come first avail basis and will be diverted accordingly.
All LMV/Cars/SUVs will avail parking facilities at the parking places at Jagannath Ballav, Saradhabli, Yatrika, Blue flag beach and Dighabarini. They will be diverted as per available of space in parking places accordingly.
Regulation of vehicular traffic shall be imposed from 00hrs on June 13 till the end of Snana Purnima festival i.e. June 14 as per the traffic mobility plan.
For smooth Darshan of the Lords by devotees, no vehicle zone will be ensuring from Marchikut Chakk to Jaga Balia Lodge. Any one requiring any assistance – 24×7 Puri Police helpline number – 6370967100 is available for assistance, the police said.
Meanwhile, security has been tightened in the pilgrim town of Puri for the Debasnana Purnima. Security has also been beefed up inside and outside the temple for the occasion.
