Bhubaneswar: In order to bring in more swiftness to the process of Transformation of Puri, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has appointed five IAS Probationers who will assist the District Collector in the efforts to make Puri a World Heritage City.
The state government is according utmost priority to the transformation of Puri and the development of the infrastructure in the temple city. It has also granted five hundred crore rupees for various projects as part of the transformation process. The newly appointed IAS Probationers will be looking after the development projects.
The five young officers belong to the 2018 batch and include Suryavanshi Mayur Vikash, Kirtivasan V, Dr Subhankar Mahapatra, J Sonal, and Bhuvnesh Devdas Patil. After taking charge of their new role, the probationers met Chief Adviser to Chief Minister’s Office R Balakrishnan and Secretary 5-T initiative V K Pandian. They were apprised by the senior officers regarding their roles and responsibilities in the ambitious process of transformation of Puri.
They were asked to devote themselves wholeheartedly to development process.
