Puri: In a major relief to the police, at least six persons, including the prime accused were arrested for alleged involved in the murder of three persons of a family at Pattnaikiya Chhak under Satyabadi police station in Puri district, said DGP Dr Rajendra Prasad Sharma today.
As per reports, the murder was the fallout of a past enmity between the deceased and accused over land dispute.
The police have identified the arrested persons as relatives of the deceased.
Notably, on July 14, three persons – Purna Behera (45), and his brother Krushna Behera (42), and Panchua Behera (44), a relative, residing at Sadanandapur, were hacked to death by unidentified miscreants near a police check post at Pattnaikiya Chhak under Satyabadi police station on Sunday evening.
