Mumbai: Rahul Dravid will be the head coach of the Indian team for the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka in July.
This has been confirmed by BCCI President Sourav Ganguly on Tuesday.
Current head coach Ravi Shastri will be busy with Virat Kohli’s Test side in England during that time, according to reports.
Dravid is the current head of cricket operations at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. He also monitors the progress of the India A and U-19 teams.
He had been the batting consultant for the Indian senior team on their tour to England in 2014.
