Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today launched the “Indira Rasoi Yojana” through video conference on the occasion of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s birth anniversary to provide food to people belonging to economically weaker sections at highly subsidised rate.
Under the scheme, the Rajasthan government has started 358 Kitchens in 213 cities of the State, where people will get lunch and dinner for just Rs 8.
Each thali will have 100 gms of pulses, 100 gms of vegetables, 250 gms chapatti and pickles, according to reports.
The State Government will spend Rs 100 crores on the scheme every year.
