Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer Rajesh Pravakar Patil on Saturday took charge as the new Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Patil also serves as Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Co-operation Department and remains in additional charge of Special Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department.
After joining as the new BMC Commissioner, Patil chaired a meeting of the civic body where all senior officials were present.
He held a brief discussion about the duties and responsibilities of the officers.
Patil, who has worked efficiently in various positions in the past, urged the officials to work together as team for the successful implementation of developmental programs and initiatives of the government by taking into account the needs of the citizens.
