New Delhi: Four replicas of Odisha’s Konark wheels have been installed at Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre and Amrit Udyan in New Delhi.
The installation of the Konark wheels, made of sandstone, aims to showcase and promote the rich heritage of the country among visitors.
It is part of the initiatives to introduce traditional cultural and historical elements in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Odisha’s famous Konark Sun Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the culmination of rich temple architecture of the state. The wheel, representing the chariot of the Sun god, is renowned for its intricate design and historical significance. It is the symbol of cultural legacy.
