Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has said that the reservation for government high school students will remove the inequality and facilitate entry of talented students in engineering and medical colleges. Taking to tweeter, Naveen said,
“To remove the inequalities and to facilitate entry of talented students of Govt High Schools in Engineering and Medical courses in #Odisha, the State Govt has notified reservation of 15% seats in Medical & Engineering colleges of State.”

“Following the recommendations made by a high-power committee, #Odisha Govt has announced reservation for students who have passed 10th Board Exam under BSE from Govt High Schools & 12th Board Exam under CHSE from any Govt Higher Secondary School/Govt Junior College.”
“Such reservations will be horizontal covering all vertical reservations as well as Unreserved Group. In case adequate number of eligible students is not available, such unfilled seats will be filled by other students of respective category.”
