Bhubaneswar: A retired Block Education Officer (BEO) in Rayagada district has been sentenced to three years imprisonment and fine of Rs 10,000 following his conviction in a bribery case.
“Antaryami Behera, Ex- Block Education Officer (BEO)(Retd), Gunupur, Rayagada, who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in KPT Vigilance PS Case No.4/2022 for taking bribe, was convicted to 3 yrs jail and fine of Rs.10,000”, informed Odisha Vigilance.
Odisha Vigilance further said that it will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Behera following his conviction.
