Retired Master of Malagaon UP School Awarded 2 Yrs Imprisonment in DA Case

Bhawanipatna: A retired head master of Malagaon UP School in Bhawanipatna has been sentenced to two years rigorous imprisonment following his conviction in a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
The retired head master has been identified as Prakash Chandra Pattnaik.

Pattnaik, who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in Koraput Vigilance PS case U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) PC Act,1988 for possession of disproportionate assets (DA), was convicted by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna.

He has been sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years and fine of Rs.50,000 and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 months more for the offence U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) PC Act, 1988.

Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of the retired head master following his conviction.
