Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government will soon come up with a revised agriculture policy, informed Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Minister Arun Sahoo in the Assembly today.
The new agriculture policy focuses on enhancing farmers’ income through appropriate production and marketing strategies, the Minister told the House.
He further said that the MoUs will be signed for cultivating traditional and cash crops.
The State Government has already initiated steps to bring out the updated policy keeping in tune with the changing conditions of agriculture and agricultural market, Odisha Chief Secretary A P Padhi told earlier after a high-level intersectoral meeting on the new policy.
