RI Nabbed for Taking Bribe in Kandhamal

Bhubaneswar: A Revenue Inspector (RI) in Kandhamal district has been nabbed by Odisha Vigilance for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 in a mutation case.

The accused has been identified as Dilip Sahu, RI, Durgapanga Revenue Circle under Kotagarh Tahasil, Kandhamal district.

The RI has been apprehended by the Vigilance sleuths while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 5000 from a complainant for processing his application in a Mutation Case for issuance of ROR(Land Patta). The entire bribe money has been recovered from the accused and seized.

Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations in Sahu from a DA angle.

In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance P.S. Case No. 11 dt. 09.07.2024 U/s 7 P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. The investigation is underway against the accused.
