Rituals Begin in Sambalpur for Inauguration of Samalei Project on 27th Jan

Sambalpur: With just four days remaining for the inauguration of the Samalei Project in Sambalpur, the servitors and priests have started the rituals associated with this. Today, the initial ritual of Ankura Ropana will commence.

According to the Samaleswari Temple authorities, Sindur will be collected from households which will then be used during puja on the day of the inauguration.

The Maha Yagna will also begin on January 27 and will end on January 31. On 26th, a grand Kalasha Jatra will be performed by the local women.

It is worth mentioning here that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will visit Sambalpur to inaugurate the Samalei Project and dedicate it to the people. The project has been taken up by the Government of Odisha with an expenditure of more than Rs 200 crore.
