Robbers Loot Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi Express Passengers At Gun Point In Jharkhand

Bhubaneswar: A number of passengers travelling in the S-9 Coach of the Jammu bound Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi Express train were looted by armed robbers in Jharkhand. According to reports, the incident happened yesterday night at about 11 pm when the train was moving between Latehar and Daltonganj stations. Around 12 robbers armed with guns and other weapons barged into the S-9 coach of the express and looted many passengers. The looters took away jewelery, cash, and other valuables from the passengers.

According to sources, the robbers attacked the passengers and also fired some rounds in the air to scare them, and later decamped with cash and other valuables items after pulling the chain. Five to six passengers who were injured in the assault were treated at Daltonganj station.
